About Us
Speakout.BelowtheWaist.org is a partnership between BelowtheWaist.org and Raising Women’s Voices for the Health Care We Need. The mission behind this site is to provide women an online community where they can share their experiences with the current health care system as a way to inform the conversation about health care reform. Women can share their stories in writing or through an audio recording. If you would like to share a story, click here. Stories shared on this site are available to policy makers, advocates and activists for health care reform, and everyone else who stops to read and listen. We encourage the use of the stories to illustrate the strengths of the American health care system and to illustrate areas that need improvement. We also encourage listening to these stories to learn about the reality of health care in America.
